Apple Watch

Due to technical reasons, support for watchOS 9 has been discontinued. To continue using SubManager on your Apple Watch, please upgrade to watchOS 10 or later.

Unfortunately, this means if your watch is paired to an iOS 16 device the watch app will no longer be available, as watchOS 10 does not support iOS 16.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Apple Vision Pro

The Apple Vision Pro app requires visionOS 2 or later. Support for visionOS 1 has been discontinued.

iPhone, iPad and Mac

SubManager currently supports iOS/iPadOS 16.4+ and macOS 13+. No changes are planned for those platforms at this time.

It’s recommended you use the latest version of the operating system for the best experience.

Web Viewer

The web viewer is accessible at web.submanager.app and is compatible with all major web browsers.

Windows users can also install the PWA from the Microsoft Store.

SubManager+

SubManager+ is a one-time payment granting you access to additional features. You can purchase either for yourself or for the entire family using Family Sharing. For more information about Family Sharing, please refer to the Apple Support website.

Please note that due to technical limitations, changing the app icon is not available on macOS and visionOS.

SubManager+ should automatically unlock for all the devices linked to your Apple Account. If you purchased SubManager+ Family, it should automatically be unlocked for all your family’s devices. If you find it isn’t unlocking on one of your devices, try the following:

  • Use the Restore option at the top right of the SubManager+ screen
  • Force close and reopen the app
  • Reboot your device

Image Playground

The ability to generate custom icons using Image Playground is only available on devices that support Apple Intelligence, including:

  • iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
  • All iPhone 16 models
  • iPad mini with A17 Pro chip
  • All iPad Air and iPad Pro models with M chip
  • All Apple Silicon Macs
  • Apple Vision Pro

You must also be running at least iOS 18.2 (iOS 18.4 if you are in the EU), macOS 15.2 or visionOS 2.4, and be enrolled in the Apple Intelligence and Image Playground features. The option won’t show in the custom icon menu unless you meet all the requirements.

Visit the Apple Support website for more information on enabling Apple Intelligence features.

Once saved as part of a subscription, it can be viewed on any device, including those that don’t support Apple Intelligence.

iCloud Sync

By default, the app syncs your subscriptions to iCloud. You can disable this if you wish. Due to technical reasons, you will need to fully close and open the app again for the setting to take effect:

  • iPhone/iPad - From the app switcher, swipe the app up to close it.
  • Mac - Close all windows.
  • Apple Vision Pro - Follow these instructions.

Please note that for the Apple Watch app and web viewer to work, iCloud sync needs to be enabled.

Deleting Mac app data

Unlike iOS and visionOS, the app data may not be deleted upon uninstallation of the app. Below are the folders that you can also delete:

  • ~/Library/Containers/com.ip18.SubManager
  • ~/Library/Group Containers/group.com.ip18.SubManager

Restart your Mac once you deleted the folders.
